California Transit Services is hiring one full-time Class A CDL driver for local morning operations out of City of Industry — roughly 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Home daily, W-2 employee with full payroll taxes covered, and year-round steady work — no seasonal layoffs.
The work // 01
- Run local Southern California routes out of our City of Industry yard and be home every day
- Pull dry van and power-only loads, with occasional drayage and tanker work
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and keep DOT paperwork current
- Deliver on time and represent CTS professionally at customer and rail facilities
Requirements // 02
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable Class A driving experience
- Must drive a manual 10-speed — no automatic (E) restriction on your CDL
- In good standing with Amazon, FedEx, UPS, Union Pacific and BNSF — no facility bans or do-not-return status
- TWIC card and tanker endorsement, or willing to obtain (we help; tanker is seldom used)
- Current DOT medical certificate
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Is this a W-2 employee position?
Yes. Every CTS driver is a W-2 employee with full payroll taxes covered, weekly pay, and overtime.
How much does the job pay?
$28 per hour plus overtime, paid weekly. Overtime typically runs 5–10 hours a week.
How much experience do I need?
A minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
Do I need to drive a manual transmission?
Yes. Our tractors are manual 10-speeds, so your CDL cannot carry an automatic (E) restriction.
Do I need a TWIC card or tanker endorsement?
You need both, or the willingness to obtain them — we help with the process. Tanker work is seldom required.
What does “in good standing” with Amazon, FedEx, UPS, Union Pacific and BNSF mean?
You cannot be banned or on a do-not-return list at any of those customers’ or railroads’ facilities. We run into all of them regularly.
